Meet Our Artisans

Without this group of special people The Rafiki Collection would not exist. Their expertise and dedication is admirable and many of the products take up a lot of time and precision. The income they receive from their work goes towards supporting their families, paying school fees and paying rent. Shown below are just a few of the wonderful people we work with.

The Kibera Collection - Wycliffe

Wycliffe is one of the most impressive people I have ever met. He set up the jewellery workshop in Kibera in 2010 for teenagers who couldn't afford to go to school and unemployed adults who needed work. His workshop even sponsors local football matches and helped feed people during the pandemic

The Samburu Collection - Laikipia

Laikipia arrived to the Samburu workshop in 2017 in the middle of a drought with a newborn baby. She had heard through the bush that the bead workshop employs women. Beading gives Laikipia the freedom to buy food, feed their children and support their community
